He married Charlotte Milliner nee Johnson. She was born on 15th April 1807 in Milton Bay Yorkshire England , died on 17th October 1876 in Sydney NSW, Australia and is buried in St Thomas Church of England Cemetery, North Sydney . Her father was William Johnson and her mother was Ann Clark. Henry and Charlotte arrived in Sydney on 14th July1840 on the ship ‘ Formosa ’.
