Elizabeth was born in Nova Scotia and brought out to New Zealand at around the age of 4 to live with the McLeod family in Waipu after the death of her mother.
Her father was an interpreter for the British Army in the Khyber Pass anad could not keep her.
There may have also been a son who was sent to live in South Africa.
Old Mr Procter used to come and visit Elizabeth regularly. 3

Elizabeth married George Henry Sakey, son of John Augustus Sakey and Ellen Millis, in 1878 in New Zealand.1 (George Henry Sakey was born in 1854 in Coromandel 4, christened on 10 Dec 1854 in Auckland, New Zealand 1 and died in 1940 in New Zealand 1.)
