General Notes:
Henry, went to Cambridge, as a Fellow Commoner of Trinity Hall. He maintained his school reputation and went out first man of his year in Law. When Henry Roxby Maude succeeded to the landed portion of his maternal grandfather's Estates, he had to assume the name and arms of Roxby, so he became the Rev. Henry Roxby Roxby and, of course hls sons became Roxby's also. He became Vicar of St. Olavi's Jewry, and Rector of St. Martin's, Pomery, London, which preferments he held until his death. (Note - most of the English Roxby's seem subsequently to have changed their name to Maude-Roxby).
Henry married Jane MEUX, daughter of Thomas MEUX of London and Sanderson, in 1829.1
