In 932, he did homage to Rudolph of France and was created Duke of Aquitaine,[2] Count of Auvergne, and Margrave of Gothia,[3] even though William Towhead claimed the ducal title as well. Raymond married Adelaide of Anjou, daughter of Count Fulk of Anjou II and Gerberge. (Adelaide of Anjou was born circa 945 and died in 1026.) |
