Prince Iziaslav OF KIEV I
Kniaz' (Prince of Turov), Veliki Kniaz (the Grand Prince) of Kiev (from 1054), King of Rus' (1075). Izyaslav's children Yaropolk and Sviatopolk would rule the Turov Principality authority of which was mainly challenged by Rostilavichi of Rostislav Vsevolodovich.
Iziaslav married Gertrude of Poland, daughter of King Mieszko Lambert II of Poland and Richeza of Lotharingia, in 1043. (Gertrude of Poland was born circa 1025 and died on 4 Jan 1108.) |
