Queen Elvira García of León
After the death of her husband in 999, she shared the regency for her son with count Menendo Gonzales until 1007, when she retired and became a nun.
Elvira married King Bermudo of León II, son of King Ordoño of León III and Urraca Fernández. (King Bermudo of León II was born in 956 and died in 999.) |
