Eleanor Florence Joy
General Notes: Her grandson, John Rappell, remembers fairy tales in French that Eleanor used to tell him. He says she was very intelligent but prone to melodrama. The morning before Eleanor died she told them James was in the room and he'd come to get her. Eleanor married James Charles Gibbins, son of Thomas Gibbins and Mary Ann Hotterway, in 1895 in Randwick.1 (James Charles Gibbins was born on 16 Sep 1859 in Auckland, New Zealand 2 and died on 24 Mar 1926 in Haberfield, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia 3.) Eleanor next married Robert H. Percy in 1888 in Sydney. |
