Contracted Typhoid from an outbreak at the Maori Pa next to the farm

There was a Maori Pa situated near the family farm and a bad outbreak of typhoid occurred. Mary Fanny contracted the disease and was very sick for a time, but recovered. Edna, the youngest family member, was not so fortunate as she contracted typhoid and died.
