  General Notes:

Thomas Leighe esq: witnessed the will of Stephen Tempest of Bro'ton 16 April 1549, and his widow Anne Tempest left 17 February 1554-5, "to my brother Leghe and his wife l shillings" (R.T. Ebor:). Stephen Tempest gent., and another, prob-ably as trustees, sued by George Penruddocke esq: for taking the tithes of Isall (Chan: Proceed: Series 2, Bdle 141, No. 20). ²

Thomas married Anne Tempest, daughter of Roger Tempest Esq. of Broughton and Anne Carre.
