Met Bryan through her cousin Harry (Hoot) Gibson on a trip to Christchurch with sister Lois. Lois and Joyce stayed at the Crsytal Palace the Salvation Army hotel on their stay in Chch.
In later years Harry Gibson worked as a Pharmacist at the Urgent Despensary in New Regent St Cjhch.
1st flat with Bryans (elderly) friend in Mays Rd. 2nd flat in Fisher Ave. Taught children to dance who came to the flat in Mays Rd.
1953 bought land and built house at 102 Sawyers Arms Rd shifted in July 1953. Taught dancing on stage in garage here for 40 years.
