Constance of Burgundy
![]() Constance married Count Hughes of Chalon II in 1065. (Count Hughes of Chalon II died in 1079.) ![]() Constance next married King Alfonso of León and Castile VI the Brave, son of King Ferdinand of León and Castile I and Sancha of León, in 1079. (King Alfonso of León and Castile VI the Brave was born before Jun 1040 and died on 1 Jul 1109.)
The marriage of Constance and Alfonso initially faced papal opposition, apparently due to Constance's kinship with Agnes (both of them having connections to Burgundy). |
